Interesting you say that, i have been told not to go for the BA xr8's but for the au2's. As you say, the gt's look horn on any E-series and i personally prefer them.
Thats a hard choice but the way i see it everyone has the AU 2 rims on the e-series so if you want to be different go for the BA XR8 rims or even the EL GT rims which is one of my favourite rims.
Despite i cant afford EL GT or the BA XR8 rims im looking at getting the au 2 rims will see how it all turns out.
Yeah guys, The tyre Factory in Mitcham Victoria, has a set of genuine EL GT rims for $600 (no tyres). They are relatively gutter scratched, but would be ok with a lil bit of tlc.
i only said dont use the au2 rims cose i have them... They have nearly caught up to the el gt rim on e series cars... so i dont want any more about... id say go the ba 17 be different.. if i see any more el gt rims ill cry
iv got the el gt copies and superlow springs on a standard el falcon and it looks very good. suits the car well. i got the el gt copies from "canterbury tyre & mag supamart"
go the anything buts!! Theres soooo sooo soooooo many mags around that suit e-series, youll just become another VN calais with VY SS rims.. be unique.. youll be thankful later.. search around, yuo will almost certainly find something better looking and that will attract heaps more atatnetion than just plain jane copies.... if Tickford wings belong on Tickford cars, so do Tickford rims, and Gt rims and so on ...
quakes look schmick! but im a bit biased...only have 17s though, should have gone for 18s :S
EF Venom what are you on about? if you discount any factory copy wheels, there are basically only 5 types of wheels to fit e-series: Quakes, Drift-R's, R/T, and the ones that UNR8D and Ignition have, i cant remember the name atm. i dont know what your wheels look like so i cant comment. not a fan of the drift-R though.
huh ... 5 types ?? i dont follow ... my wheels are ROH Milanos ... i think theres more than 5 types ... you just gota dare to be different .. and not in an illegal way!
I agree with EF_Venom. If your going to put wheels on your car at least be a little creative in doing so. There are heaps of respectable aftermarket brands that make wheels that look good on E-series cars such as AJR, BBS and Simmons to name a few. Yes they're more expensive but thats the price you pay for originality. Either way at the end of the day its each to their own!
