dashpot delay

hello does any one know how to modify dashpot delay on an ef falcon manual, the revs take to long to drop and its annoying? will the ecu need to be chipped or changed?

also any on know about map to maf conversions is it worth it?

Did you convert the car to manual yourself? DASHPOT can be edited via T.I. Performance - Home J3 insertion chip... Tell them Fiend sent you...

You could look for a 4TAB ECU at wreckers (XR6 EF MANUAL ecu), but would do better to tell Jason at tiperformance exactly what you want on the chip... Have a look at the site, above.

it was already converted and i believe a manual ecu was already installed but i still want it dropping faster is this possible

EL 6 cyl - I disconnected the ISC from the ECU, put in a restrictor and wired it in with the AC so when AC activates, it pulls up the revs.

Then I installed a cold bimetallic cold engine valve or whatever its called around the throttle body from an old Nissan, when it warms up it blocks air but when its cold it allows air through.

Dashpot completely gone when the motor warms up for a total cost of about $10

hey thats sounds like what i need to do? can you explain in more detail or put up some picks of it so i can have a look? does doing this have any bad effects?
