Let me see,
the borgwarner fitted to these can come in several versions....
There is obviously, single spinner, and then LSD.
Then there are 2 crown wheel sizes.
Then there is 2 pinion and 4 pinion.
And somewhere there is approx 15 Standard ratio's.
Then you can also add in the ratios used by Holden who run the same diff!
But then you smell of diff oil for the next week! bwahahahaha
Or if you do what me & a mate did, you don't check that the diff still has oil in it, and have it die 5km up the road while testing (mechanic who built it for us made out that it had oil in it, but didn't confirm)
We rebuilt that ourselves though, only needing a pinion bearing and another gearset.
But yes, that is the ULTIMATE way to tell what diff you have I spose!
I hope richfitz75 finds it worth cracking the diff open to find it's a 3.08 or something like that lol
