Re: dint in the ea

qwikcorty

Hi, my car was parked next to yours at the meet,. the White EA. I liped my guards myself. Just take the wheel off, and get a heat gun (or a hair dryer). Get tin cutters and make like cuts on the guard, about 5 cm in length each cute. Then heat the outside and abit underneath the guard so the paint softens abit(not to much though), then gently with a hammer tap back the guards. Its not that hard. Some place will do it for like 100 bucks the whole car, just call up a body works place.

*sorry about the spelling its late and im sleepy :(*

Re: dint in the ea

oohhh, ooohh, interesting! a smash repairer quoted 80 bucks to get the front 2 done. Bugger that!

Thanks for the idea David 84, i'll be doing that myself when i can get my hands on a heat gun.

Re: dint in the ea

i wouldn't lip my guards like that, why not go and see your tire place, they should have a groovey little tool that bolts onto your hub that will lip your guards rite.

I noticed at the previous club meet at bob jane, your front guard was dinted a bit, i should have shown you mine cose liping it will stop it from dinting like that.
