disable smartlock

the smartlock on my EF gli is on the fritz AGAIN

it is on its 3rd smartlock module, and has had the BEM replaced recently. im over replacing things in this car, its runs perfectly apart from the immobiliser having moods.

is there any way i can disable or bypass the smartlocking system so it will start?

and will i still be able to use the remote?
thanks.

Re: disable smartlock

I think that there is a Smartlock bypass available and it's usually used during an engine conversion into an earlier car.

As for where you would get one maybe Castle Auto electrics or even V6 conversions could supply. Or even PIE (performance Is Electronic).
Performance is Electronic
