I been wondering...all you ppl that are older and remember when the EA was released...what were the EA Falcon commercials like?
I have a book about the design/implementation/production of the EA series. It is a photocopy which Ford sent me and the quality of the pics is very low.
It shows a picture of the filming of a EA commercial and you can vaguely make out there is a EA coming out of water...
I'd just be interested to know what that was all about because i was 2 when the EA was released so i wouldnt know shit.
I have the EA Ads, (Have you driven a Ford - Lately),
with 3 people commenting on the EA Falcon from around the world.
The first person is a chick from germany, commenting on its power
The second is an Italian Bloke, saying "The Falcon has a lot style, blah blah blah"
The third person (dunno where he is from) saying that the Falcon has a lot of room, for his Family, and his friends.
The Add then goes on to the Jingle, Have U, Have, Have U Driven a Ford, Lately !
I also have the ED Futura one, with the guy hooning around, delivering his preggers wife to hospital !
i was just looking through my collection of mags an found a magazine called the EA26 FALCON story i bought it in 1992 when i got my EA Spack dont know if you guys have seen it.
it was published by wheels magazine,it show pictures and text of road tests, design and development, and advertising.
I think I have a photocopy of that book. Is there a page dedicated to the design of the Instrument clusters?
Also, Xyphoid, I was going through our 1988 olympic opening ceremony video and found a commercial...unfortunately not one of a EA....but a VN! I think it is in a restaurant...and same story...a couple of ppl standing around commenting on it lol.
