I had this problem with my EA, and my fathers EL did the same a few months ago.
You need to adjust the steel rod that goes from the door latch to the door handle. The rod sits in a white plastic connector with a clip, and most likely the drivers side door is causing the problem. Try it in a few different positions to see the difference. Its a very sensitive adjustment, so a small movement does a lot.

I have the same problem, but only in high temp days (like 35C+). It can also happen when driving after 5 minutes of starting the trip with the cabin well over 40. It doesn't really occur a lot so it hasn't bothered me (only when it happens and you are trying to get out) say three times a year, but I'm pretty sure Ford have identified this as a fault about three or four years ago. Not sure what the fix for it was.

If you cant fix it pull out the fuse labled "dr lks", or something, near top right 30Afuse, green color usually. that will dissable central locking.
It also disconects the boot and fuel flap buttons but, so you have to replace fuse every time you want to use those buttons. Thats what i do at the moment, its better than coming back from work to a unlocked car

4th EB2 Fairmont, EL dash and interior, BBM, LSD etc etc
5th EB Fairmont Ghia 5L. All leather, lowered, exhaust etc
my old EB used to do that, the problem was the passenger door outer lock barrel was hard to turn from lack of lubricant, sprayed a heap of silicone spray in there (and drivers side for good measure) and fixed it nicely.
