being a bit of a pain in the ass arent i hehe

but anyway,

What does the ecu in the EA actualy control?

Does it control any of the dash (i.e. do temp sensors and oil pressure sensors run to the ecu and then to the dash?)

If the EA motor and gearbox were not used, is there anything else that the EA ecu controls that would have a problem?

on the EA, the ECU only controls the engine management functions, that is the electronic ignition and the fuel system. It doesnt effect gearbox control or dash functions. Gearbox control came in the EB2 ECU's and the EECV (EF+) began to integrate dash functions into its ECU.
