does anyone own an LTD that came out during the ea,eb and ed. id like to know what sort of courtesy lights they have on their doors, it would be great if u could post some pics of the front and back door trims.

The interior lights are exactly the same as an EA Ghia. If you want the lights on the doors, you'd be looking at retrofitting EF Fairmont Ghia-style items. Wouldn't be too hard or expensive.

so the ltd's in this series didnt have any more lights than the fairmont ghias. i thought they'd have the courtesy lights on the doors, also theres a cutout on the insulation on the back of the ghias doortrims, around the area the ash trays are mounted on fairmonts. What would fit in this section?

hmmm... well staying on the subject of LTD's... whats the difference between say a LTD and a Fairmont Ghia?

Comparing the EA to the DA, the main difference was power front seats (or was it just the driver's seat?), more velour included highly padded rear seats and centre console, rear audio controls and not a lot else. In all honesty, it was hardly 50 grand's worth, especially since they had the same taxi engine, 3 speed auto and 2.77 diff as any MPI GL in a far heavier vehicle...

i'll just add 2 that, with length, body panels, boot, bonnet and wheelbase. also isn't there 2 extra windows at the back? also headlights and rear light assemblies.

That's right matey, I was talking purely equipment terms. The extra rear seat space is the most significant bit of 'equipment'.
