Can anyone please tell me how many EA Fairmont Ghia's came from the factory with a manual gearbox.

The reason im asking is because i bought one on the weekend and i was wondering how rare they are as i think ive only ever seen a couple of them but they were converted.

Any info would be very helpful.

in my time interested in the e-series iv'e only seen one other which was on ebay a coupla months back. I think there wouldn't have been to many manuals comming out but alot would have been converted by now

I checked the complaince plate thats how i know mine isnt converted and is factory fitted.

SO far it seems its pretty rare then

i used to have an 89 ghia, factory 5 speed with blue velour :D... regretting selling it now, it was mint.. :|...

anyways, i believe ford removed the factory manual option on the ghia mid way through the eaII.. correct me if i'm wrong.

i think i remember reading a few years back there were around 500 odd factory manual ghias.. but i'm probably way off.

yep, it was a No Cost Option on Ghia's. (have got the spec sheet for series 2 EA's some where) you couldnt get a factory manual fairmont though as they were strictly autos. basicly manuals were standard on GL/spacs and optional on Ghias. fairlane/LTD were strictly autos too.
