I'm a little unsure on the pace of an EA Manual down the quarter.
The Wheels magazine claimed an easy 15.5sec 400m in a 5 spd S'pac when new.
I recently aquired my 89' SVO and was curious to see how it went.
Heatcote Raceway.....:
17,16.8,16.4,"16.2"secs
now obviously I'm not the fastest driver out there, and after playin round found I have no SVO camshaft or the right Diff. and my tappets were pretty much done for. I wasn't suprised at these times considering. but could anyone tell me if they have had a Run? if so what times did you record?
I'm very interested to see how fast an EA can go with basic mods.
i.e. Air Filter, Extractors Cam and LSD. if you know tell us!

options include "Genie" Exhaust/Extractors, Recaros, Momo Wheel/knob. Svo Body work, Svo Rims, Kicker 15' sub, kicker 6.5' splits. Alarm Imobilizer. Bilstien Shocks(SVO), Svo Anti swaybars, SVO springs. ED XR8 diff assembly and centre. DC LTD dash and wiring and *NEW*series II AU XR6 VCT motor*
The best time we've seen for a stock EA (but with an air intake mod) is a 15.6. On June 1 we'll have a whole load more times since we'll be having out biggest Heathcote meet yet.

Yep, karl had a 5 speed, 3.23 diff and 2.5" cat back (pretty sure). But on the other hand, it also had a cracked piston if im not mistaken.. so figure that one out!
To be honest, You will be lucky to get your stock EA 5 speed (2.92 diff) into the 15 sec bracket.. and a 15.5 is dammm hard.
SVOBOY, don’t forget that the SVO is heavier then the standard falcon (electrics). I reckon you could probably knock off a few more tenths with a few more runs, you can only try.
Hope to see ya at Heathcote JUNE 1 :)

nah my SVO has no electrics it started as an S-pak. So hopefully the wide tyres Genie exaust and headers give it something over an S-pak.
your mate with the 3.23 in the rear? where did he get it. or is it a single spinner? I have been searching for a 3.23 but the tailshaft is all wrong. It has a flange not U-bolts on the tailshaft/Diff connection. is his a Flange? if so can you just change the U-bolts to a Flange?
Because the only 3.23 LSD for an EA is from and NA which also has a flange not U-bolts?
