EA1191

After disconnecting the battery I now have to reset the radio code.
Tried a few times but failed.
I have the code but cannot find the owners handbook. I thought it was in the glovebox before it had the last rego check. But not sure.
The radio is a Philips radio/tape player and the car is an EA 1991.
Can someone help with the method to enter the code?

Although I had done a thorough search, thought the book must be around somewhere. Found it behind a cabinet and missed it about twice before.
Edge on in a rather dim spot.
Press '5' then 'UP' or 'Down' to select 1st digit.
Press '5' then 'UP' or 'Down' to select 2nd digit.
Repeat, and press '5' ? the last entry starts the radio.
