my mutipoint ea falcon when its cold starts runs fine all for about 10 min the just dies if i go to start it again it just cranks over but wont fire so far i have changed the coil and the TFI module to no effect does any body know what it could be thanks
BOSCH dizzys ALWAYS **** UP and Yeah, You made the biggest mistake of all by buying new parts for your dizzy.
Do not buy a 2nd hand one and ur wasting ur time buying new TFIs and crap.
Coventries sell complete EA-ED dizzys for around $270.
Mine had the same problem, since i put the new dizzy in, it hasnt done it once.
99percent garuntee that its ur haul effect sensor.
1 percent chance it could be ur coil lead is ****ed.
I ended up buying a TFI module, Coil, Cap, Rotor and leads. And that didnt solve the problem.
Buy a new one and forget about Dizzy troubles for a LONG LONG TIME, or see how much u can get a hall effect sensor for(if u want to try to save some money)? ALthough i heard they are tricky to replace.

he's right replace the whole unit. they are caining you in perth i bought one about 3 weeks ago from repco in sydney for about 155inc g.s.t you should ring repco in sydney and get one sent next time round. hey bldnut i take it it has no spark?. when it cuts out does it start straight away or do you have to wait awhile for something to cool down. maybe your ecu is getting hot can you get access to a one to try before you buy( some shops have trial ecu so you can check them)if not have you got access to compressed air you can blow it to cool it down and see if it starts and or keeps running. the ecu are normally good though
Hall effect is piece of p*ss to change, but you gotta remove the dissy to do it. Don't try to change the vanes over, just remove the drive gear and pull the shaft out.
i live in melbourne and you can get a new dizzy with every thing recoed (brand new tfi, hall, cap, rotorbutton ) for $95 change over from bursons in moorabbin, 244 wickham rd. Ph.9553-1611 http://www.bursons.com.au/allstores/.../moorabbin.htm
