EA weird between 80-110km/h

Hi I currently drive an EA soon to be replaced by an ED I mentioned in a different thread. Now my issue occurs between 80-110km/h under that or above my car is fine, but between those speeds even just cruising at 90 it gets a small splutter every now and then as if it has mis fired. If you put your foot down to speed up a bit it feels like a misfire for a split second then accelerates. If it drops down a gear it is fine. Just trying to figure it out before I sell it.

It is a 30th anniversary edition with multi point injection, not centre point. Also not that I do burnouts, but when taking off it can't even spin the wheels (unless it is wet) but by the time it hits 20km/h it starts to take off nice and quick but that initial takeoff is always sluggish.

Help would be much appreciated.

Re: EA weird between 80-110km/h

Hi ED1608... I have a EA-S pac and had kindof a similar problem. I'm guessing you have the 4 speed auto? It was very subtle and also manifested itsself around the same speed, it felt more like a hesitation than an ignition misfire. The problem was resolved by a simple transmission service (fresh fluid and new filter screen).... Hope this helps mate.
