hi guys im new here and i was just wondering how u self test your ecu been reading heaps of people doin it and i would love to know how to get error codes so i can check mine over. I have an eb series II gli. What do i need and can someone explain just how i go about doing it.
The easiest way is to buy or borrow a workshop manual for your car. It will explain how to go about it, what tools to use and the meaning of the codes. Also, most libraries now stock workshop manuals if you don't want to buy one.
Go to either Kmart or some other place and purchase a Gregory's manual No 245 Falcon Fairlane LTD it covers vehicles from 1988-1992 (EA,EB I Series, etc) page 86 has the ECU codes and how to read them.
