EA falcon man

hey guys,

im soon to be swaping my auto to a t5. i have a el fairmont so i cant change the ecu to a 5sp one due to bem compatibility issues.

what i want to know is this: if i fool the ecu into thinking that the auto is still there with neutral selected, will the engine be down on power or does the engine perform the same wether its in neutral or drive?
also if i was to set it up so the ecu thought it is in drive, would the idle rpm be higher than normal?

i have an ed falcon converted to 5spd.
computer wasnt touched.
hunts a bit for the idle sometimes and takes a while for the revs to die down when changing gears but other then that its ok.
