ed fuel filling prob - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

Is it just my car or is there a fault with the ed's (futura) preventing it from being filled with petrol quickly. It takes about 10minutes just to fill cos it clicks off all the time. i have to be carefull on how hard i press. i have tried moving the pump around at different angles and still does it.

Are you using the same pump at the same service station when you fill up?

I've experienced the same thing with my ED on occasion but I would put it down to the pump's auto off system not operating correctly.

nah, it happens at every single service station i go to. I'll get it checked out, just thought it may be a ford prob

the angle on the pipe is the probablem with the faster flowing pumps around now bp seem to be the only ones that it doesn`t happen with lest for me

also, do you run your car real lowon fuel? sometimes with mine when i get needle bending below the E, it takes ages cause it keeps clicking like you said. But if its on 1/4 or so, it fills easy.
