Hi everyone, i have an EF XR8 that i thought had broken a clutch cable.. on investigation i found the cable appears to of come out from the pedal end for some reason... i have tried putting it back in but as you all know there is not much room to move and impossible to see anything... is there an easy way or any tricks people can share... in other words, how the He** do i get it back in and retain the skin on my arms and sanity??

Check the firewall has not cracked where the cable go through it as this is a common problem and can cause the cable to come loose. In any event, if you loosen the nut on the engine side of the cable on the firewall to give additional pedal stroke it will easier to get it back on. You have to readjust the nut later to get the correct pedal stroke.

My 96 Xr's clutch was wearing thin when i bought it... i ignored it.. had to wield a plate and a new clutch hoslter cause the basted ripped right threw....
