I am looking at buying a new car and was looking at ef series1 and 2 or el series 1 xr8 .I like the el front lights a little better than the ef but the ef is more in my price range. Is there much differance between them and can you change the front lights on a ef to el .
Any help would be great.

ill get the ball rolling.. with ur earlier EF's an series 1 EL's , they are the same motor pretty much, they tend to get trounced on by the XR6's. Prolly a better buy for your buck! Unless you spend some $$$ to get diff gears and heads and intake manifold etc .. The EF had a lilac themed interior with black inserts into the dash the EL was a grey/black trim with a more refined grey dash style, You can change the front set-up, the EF lights fit the EL bar so its a matter of just swapping the bar i presume..

Thanks for that ef_venom I have seen a lot of xr6s around for sale but would prefer the xr8 only as it is going to be a base for a very strong daily driver and I love v8s.
So far I can only find 2 el xr8s for sale here in perth no efs.

Definately go the EL. The trim in the EF looks horrid, way better in the EL, it looks better from the outside aswell.
