ive got an EF Ghia with leather trim in good condition and was wondering what its worth.
a loacal car dealer has offered to swap me for a NC11 V8 (wich is what i want) but i dont like the colour of it

ps if anyone on here is looking to get out off a 5ltr fairlane or falcon and into an EF GHia ill swap as long as it isnt brown lol

My mate paid $10,000 a year ago for an ef2 fairmont with 90,000, roady n 12 months reg from a dealer.

Hope that helps you somewhat. I personally reckon he should have gone to the auctions and picked up an AU, but then thats my opinion.

Well, other people have diferent views on what there worth.. mine are..
I've seen them as low as $3990 at the dealer (kicking myself that i didn't have a closer look) generally they go from $5500 to $8000 anything more then this and you could be buying an EL ghia... All comes down to condition the ghia is in..

Mate, it's not worth it as a straight swap! This is assuming that both cars (the NC or whatever V8 ford you look at, plus your EF Ghia) are in similar condition.

EF Ghia (albeit a six) is worth more than a V8 EB/NC. No wonder the dealer is keen to swap!

Try & sell the EF Ghia privately, and then purchase an EB/NC. You'll save a bit of coin this way.

With the standard 5.0, it's a pretty sleepy motor. Mine's standard, and it's great for 1/4 or 1/2 throttle, it's really grunty and effortless. But don't expect any crazy full-throttle action, your EF Ghia would be roughly the same in performance in this case. Having said that, getting the 5.0 to breathe would make a hell of a difference!

Hmm... Sell the EF, buy an EB/NC, spend the remaining $ you save on heads, intake & exhaust... w00t fast V8!
