Most likely either the regulator, main wire at alternator (proximity to exhaust tends to make it become brittle so strand inside the insulation fail) or the fusible link.

Note the regulator plugs into back of alternator held by two screws and is cheaper to replace (usually just warn carbon brushes that come with the regulator module. Typically look a bit like this (the black plastic box on the back of the alternator) :
