Question EF strange starting habits

Can anyone help me please?
Occasionally, and sometimes more than occasionally, when I turn the ignition key to start, nothing happens. If I then slap the dash or centre console, or hit the steering wheel while holding the key in the start position, it will then start.
I've already changed the BEM hoping this may be the problem, and the car seemed fine for a couple of weeks. Now it is doing it again.

Any ideas anyone?

Re: EF strange starting habits

Id be looking at the smartlock module theres other people here who have had the same problem, the solder links seem to crack with age & heat you can either get it resoldered at the connection or get a newy, I too have this problem which will only start sometimes if i whack the handbrake.. Think of it as an extra immobiliser lol.
Cheers
