Where in Australia can I buy new steering knuckles to suit an EL? My stub axles are worn. john at joniblac@netbay.com.au

Re: EL Falcon steering Knuckles.

You should not need new ones as used ones will do.

Every stub axle that I have seen is in perfect condition including the one I just removed from my EB after 470,000km.

The only way they would wear I imagine is if you drove around with a seized wheel bearing and it started spinning on the hub.

Re: EL Falcon steering Knuckles.

To answer your original question though. your local Ford dealers spare parts section would be the obvious answer but knowing Ford Australia they are probably obsolete as EL's are over 5 years old now.

Yes Jim, they are obsolete. Have found a good used one. Regards, John

Re: EL Falcon steering Knuckles.

hi Jim, I bought the car second-hand and cannot contact the former owner.
Thge mechanic suggested changing the l/h stub axle as we cannot eliminate noise like faulty bearing. Will investigate further if the re-fit does not fix the problem. Regards, John.
