I just bought an EL fairmont ghia, but the auto shiter knob, like the leather boot, the button u push to change from P into R, D etc has snapped:(
Just curious is anyone selling one, or knows where i can get a cheap replacement?

you have to make a little nic in the leather on the under side of the shifter.

then loosen the locator screw..

if you look at a gli one youi will work out where..

then it just slids out and the new one slips straight back in ..

tighten the locator screw and your done



you could get one from a wreckers or you can try ford..

they still had them 18 months ago...

if you have trouble finding a chrome one you can always use a grey one
from a Gli futura or fairmont.
