Re: el thermo fans

Try a post on windsor or cleveland site; plenty of blokes use them to cool their earlier models.

Re: el thermo fans

Generally better cooling due to more flow. The standard belt driven fans also take power to run them (especially at high rpm), the thermos also take power because they load up the alternator however you will find that they don't run all the time (on cold days while cruising they may not come on at all), so they give you a bit more power overall.

Re: el thermo fans

are these easy enough to install? (wiring etc)
or should they be left to a professional to avoid hacking and chopping at your car half blindly?

Re: el thermo fans

They are easy to install. Removing the old belt drive fan can be slightly difficult sometimes but the thermo fans themselves go in very easily. If you use a davis craig thermo switch, it makes the wiring nice and easy.

Re: el thermo fans

*Better throttle response
*Better economy
*No fan noise under accel
*Less wear on water pump bearings

Very easy to fit and the first mod to any car with mech fan.
