Has anyone fitted a cruise control (not aftermarket) to an EL wagon?

What parts are needed besides steering wheel. My mechanic said all EL's that he's worked on have the wiring there already. Anyone confirm or otherwise?

i thought EL's had Cruise Control fitted...

if u have a different steering wheel im imagining that the wires will already be there. Most after 1996 fords especially EL range came out with Cruise control. you sound like ur not the first owner of ur wagon?

If it has ABS the wiring will be there, otherwise you need the loom from the actuator to the multi plug above the fuse panel (soldered in)

I'm 2nd owner. It's GLi and has never had ABS or cruise fitted, no clock. Also has standard s/wheel fitted.

ahh ok GLi had optional Cruise Control & ABS

Hope to get time this afternoon to look at site then discuss with mech. to see what we can use or not. am trying to source stuff from wreckers, otherwise very expensive.
