This is mainly just a test to see if it would be worth organizing something like this.

I'm currently jobless so I can't afford to spend any more money trying to get my car fixed. The irony is, that if the car was running, I could get a job.

I've spent $1,200 on the car, most of which has been on repairs to keep it on the road, and a substantial amount of it has been spent trying to solve a particular problem that the car has. It's been to three mechanics, none of whom have been able to tell me what the problem was, let alone fix it.

Think of it as a challenge!

I'd also give a set of EF low springs that I bought when I was stupid and naive about cars. The same goes for a 2.5" exhuast (no resinator). They're not worth much, but I figure someone might be able to put them to use.

Anyway, if one or two people are interested, I might set it up. Thanks.

It 'frog-hops' on the road, mainly when accellerating, and especially when accellerating up hill. The accellerator pedal goes 'limp' and there's a sudden loss of power. Then it kicks back in suddenly. This happens in rapid succession for a bit and then it runs 'ok' for awhile (ok, meaning like crap, but no frog-hopping).

After a bad episode of this, I'll park the car, turn it off and come back to it later on. And then it just WON'T start. It just won't kick over. It tries for a second and then the battery is drained and then it stops trying to kick-over altogether and I just get the clicking of the starter motor pin.

At that stage, the only thing that gets it going is a boost. Also, the last time this happened, it would stall at the lights and I would need another boost to get it going. This has only happened once (as in, a series of stalls) before but I THOUGHT I had it beat after replacing the fuel pump.

So far, the fuel pump, fuel pump relay, and fuel filter have been replaced. The timing is apparently fine and mechanically, it's supposedly 100%. Although, that comes from a mechanic who said he fixed it by readjusting the TPS back to the normal voltage (someone had altered it to get more low-end power).

Well, not knowing much about engines, I tried just looking it over last week to see if I could see anything that was out of whack or just plain wrong. One of the things that stood out was the accellerator cable.

Over the engine there is a sortof bracket for the cables to the spark plugs and the accellerator cable goes in it as well, over the engine. It's here that the black plastic is cracked and broken revealing the inner lining. The cable itself isn't broken, however when you press down on the accellerator, it sortof squeezes the two ends of the black plastic together.

I don't see how that would affect startup though and stalling at idle. But then, I don't know shit.

Sunny, I don't know what I could give you to try and fix the car, but as long as it doesn't involve a blow-job, I'll find a way to pay yah back! :s5
