FS: Unichip to suit EA-ED i6!
Ok a friend of mine is selling his Unichip out of his ED Fairmont Ghia. I've called up & asked around and i was told it'll also fit EA & EB i6's.
Asking price is $550.

if it's for eec-iv (i6) can it not run on say a eec-iv 5 litre V8?
just wonderin... :) if it suits my car i may be interested

It's for EEC-IV i6's, but i don't think it'd be suitable for EEC-IV V8's. I could be wrong though, you might want to ask around.
By the way i'm from Melbourne.

What the hell happened there? Anyway what is the benefit of adding the uni-chip? Is just for added tuning capabilities.

from what i've been told - the eec EMS is "untunable".
Something like a unichip allows you to adjust fuel and timing i think...

Just to inform, EEC is very much 'tunable' with a product known as Tweecer (eec tuner is something similar as well)
I dont know enough on the subject, but XR9UTE on the forums has set up a few, really knows his stuff.
there are 7 second cars in the states running EEC.....

why is he selling it, what mods are done to the car which it came out of it? do you have any dyno sheets before and after chip install? will you offer a warranty on the unit (if it is faulty)?
where abouts in melbourne? i can have my sis pick it up from you with the cash.
