the ignition barrell on my ea decided to pack it up last night, leaving me stuck at the local servo after filling up at 1am this morning. Had to call the racv and it took the bloke 1/2 an hour to get there and another 1/2 hour just to get the key into the accessory position to take the barrell out, in the mean time he bent the shit out of the key. Anyway at least i could drive the car home, but now i have to get the barrell fixed or replaced (i'm so thankfull that i have roadside assistance).
Does anyone know roughly what that will cost from personal experience, maybe someone here has an ignition barrell with key and front door locks for an ea-ed that they dont need. anyway i'm pretty pissed off at my car atm.

this happained to me, fortunatly mine still works if you angle the key upwards.

he, yeah that would be nice but i'd hate to see what insurance would say if my car got stolen and they found that.
is that like the whole barrel/lock thing or what and does it come with a key.

atm i may take the barrel to a locksmith and see what they can do, else if that fails i'll have to replace all of the crap.
