Well,

what kinda engine fits in an EA? Are they interchangeable and how much am I looking at?

I feel your pain Gunns, I'm in a similar situation.

Any engine from EA to AU will fit in an EA. The most straightforward are EA-ED as they all use the engine fan, EF/AU use thermofans (electric ones). However if you just put in the block without all the extras, any of the engines will fit more or less depending on the quality of your mechanic.

There are lots of other differences and combinations between them but thats the general idea above..
