Last weekend i converted my EB1 to a BBM intake, problem is now the ****en thing doesnt start and ive been almost a week without my car and i cant go much longer with out it, I cannot understand why it wont start, Its got fuel u can smell it out the back when its cranking, used original harness, its got spark, Its got the original TPS and ISC on there, can u use the EF-EL TPS does it connect up fine and run? All ive managed out of the car is a cough right at the begining of cranking it and then nothing , im gonna torch the car soon. what factors stop it from starting, all i can think of now is that i damaged the loom, does the AUTO Tps have to be connected to start?

i think you need to extend the wires and get the plug off a ef/el to connect a ef/el tps.

EA2BA on the other forums is familiar with the BBM conversion, as is Brendan Mock (from Jim Mock Motorsport).

I recall reading a JMM article somewhere recently which states that to run the BBM, one needs to swap the standard ECU for an EL ECU, and a little component of theirs which gets around the smartlock issue.

The EA-ED computers aren't rigged up to match the BBM intake, and a simple RPM switch to change from short to long runners won't do the trick, as the ignition curve is too different to the EA-ED computers.

Another option is an aftermarket computer but that's $$$.

I had a dead fuel regulator and fuel relay, MY LUCK, and i just linked the 2 tps together to the EL tps runs shmicko
