Help! EF falcon 95 beeping noises

i have a 95 EF Falcon, and when i start my car i hear a series of five sets of five beeps.

I am not sure what this means, but my cars running ok, and everything except the power steering fluid is sweet. Could it be that?

Cheers.

Hey,I suggest you top up your steering fluid, it may be that and double check all your other fluids.I know that when the oil pressure guage goes in the red there is a beep.

Re: Help! EF falcon 95 beeping noises

Nothing to do with power steering fluid! The EF has an airbag I think, so the 5 beeps are telling you that there is a fault in the airbag control system. This should be able to be reset as follows.

Turn ignition on. When chimes stop, connect a jumper wire on the diagnosis connector from terminal M to terminal B. After 5 chimes heard again disconnect wire and turn ignition off. May need to be repeated several times to clear memory on BCM.

Pinouts on diagnosis connector are:

Top row

- - - M - - - - - -

Bottom row

B - - - - - - - - -

See how you go.
