My mate was pulling the head of his au forte and one of the lifters fell out of a rocker and he thinks it fell in the sump any advice on how toget it out can you drop the sump dowm enough to get a magnet on a stick in with the engine in the car or will he have to pull it out

also will an eb head fit an au if the head is cracked as he has one of an eb sitting there ??

no eb head wont fit FOR A FEW REASONS before people jump on and say it will...

1. YEs it will bolt on.
2. THe temp sensor wont fit in the EB head as there is no spot for it in the back.
3. AU cam and rockers can not be used due to the differnt rocker ratio
4. Rocker cover wont seal as good as on AU head due to the shape of the half moons.

The biggest problem is the TEMP sensor in the back of the head, and the Rocker ratio

Here's a trick that sometimes works. Get a large magnet like out of a speaker & drag it along the outside of the sump towards the drain hole. Do it very slowly & you may get lucky & pull the lifter out. Good luck!
