WHat is going on with my EA????
We managed to buy it off Ebay. Now we have discovered that NOTHING is standard.
Bythe Way, it is a Fairmont.
Built 7/89, Chardonnay in colour, MPFI 3.9L.
What isn't standard:
Power front windows.
Non standard central locking.
Middle console we think is a fairlane.
S pack display - but no S pack striping on car.
REar control arms for diff had to have washers packed in as is to narrow for diff mounts.
Not a standard cruise control arrangement.
And a WHOLE host of extra wires that lead NOWHERE!!!!!!
One mod we did do is put a limited slip diff in for towing purposes - we own alpacas and have to tow a modified horse float. It does ok but does run warm.
It has done 293000 klms. It has done 21000 klms since we have had it.
Considering we didn't pay very much for it, we are exceptionally happy with it.
IS this a hybrid/bitza or what???
We do know this car started in Dubbo, and then somehow went to Newcastle. We bought it from Hinchinbrook. And We live in THE shire...SUTHERLAND!( home of Multiple Test Cricketers!!)
Is there anyone around the Shire that could have a look at the car and help us out???
We have bought some material, also off Ebay, thatw e are going to use to retrim the interior, to make it look a better car. It has had a hard life.
Although we have recently converted from our worst enemy, HOLDEN, (although the wife drives a Toyota starlet), we will need some help with this. I am pretty handy with cars in general but not so with fords.
