Hi all, I’m new to Ford’s forums, my previous car was a Mitsubishi Magna unfortunately it broke down on me. I have bought a Fairmont Ghia 1997 and I want to know where the handbrake adjustment is...???

EFs and ELs have two adjustments for the handbrake, one for the shoes at the rear discs, which looks like a toothed gear and you can access it through a little hole on the face of the rotor, and another one for the cable, which is a 10mm nut and sits pointing up next to the handbrake lever. cheers

The Handbrake adjustment on EF/EL's is best left to the pro's, even then they usually have trouble getting it right, much like the new BA BF Falcons.
