The EA engine never gets refered to in cubic inches. Don't know how SA plates work but in NSW you could get something ABC-39L (ABC purely as an example and 39L for 3.9L). Just my opinion anyway.

Re: how many cubic inches is an ea block??

1 ml= 1 cubic cm
1 ltr = 1000 cm3
so 3.9l = 3900 cm3

or

1 ltr = 61.023
so 3.9l = 238 cubic inches

238 would just look like any other number in my opinion and not stand out at all...39L would be much better and noticble IMO

I just did the figures based on the actual capacity of the 3.9 (3.949) and it's 240.9 ci based on Tibbo's formula. 241 would do. By comparison, the 4.0 is a whopping 243.1 ci.

Re: how many cubic inches is an ea block??

in sa the standard plates are three letters then three numbers, its only $71 with out ongoing fees each year thats why i wanted it to know. stock ea multi point is 3949cc, so thats what jack said 240.9ci. thats wont stand out much so i might get BB plates. BB-039L. well see what happens in the future. thanks guys
