Re: Installing A trip Computer

Fairly easy to install, will only take 30mins to an hour. You need the trip computer and the plug/wiring. You only need a couple of cm of the wiring because you will cut and join into your existing wiring loom. From memory you most of the wires are there already, you just need to run 1 wire from the EEC, 1 from the dash.

No sorry mate.
Basically tells you distance to empty, Average fuel consumption, etc.
I found it easier to buy the loom from Ford, & install it that way, took 1 hr.

HAHA I like that one. Trip computer tells you stuff like distance to empty, fuel economy, average speed etc.

Re: Installing A trip Computer

Its fairly straight forward to do, if you need a wiring diagram, they are floating about the forums, but as has already been said, u only need to wire a couple of things to the dash(ie fuel, speedo) and one to the ecu and i believe that it, the rest is all the same as a clock, which already has wiring there.

Re: Installing A trip Computer

Fordmods.com has a wiring diagram thats what I used and got it all working fine. The only problem iv ever experience was when the tank is toped up Km's till empty sometimes wouldnt go back up to say 550. Instead it would start slowing going up and meet it at say around 400km.
