what about the stereo, CD Stacker, speakers?
Does it have a leather steering wheel?
What about a camber kit?

JCHADby2 - what colour is it?
I thought I saw your AU in tuggeranong (near conder shops) yesterday morning. It definately looks the part!

EBXR - you did see my AU there - who was I cutting off this time? lol. The EF is metallic maroon/burgundy.

I took the AU for it's last cruise today down to Narooma - great trip via kangaroo valley. I've sold it as my mrs is pregnant - with twins! The more cash we can have in reserve, the longer she can stay off work. I guess you could call it a change of priorities, but I still want a decent car, so the EF Fairmont will do me just fine.

I tend to love (not literally) whatever car I drive at the time, and our previous EF GLi was a favourite - even considering the AU1 XR8, XR6 and AU2 V8! I know it's a setp backwards, but only just as far as I am concerned. And we still have the AU XR6 for the time being.

Anyway, thanks all for the suggestions. My list has been revised as follows:

Extractors - probablyPacemaker or Genie - approx $400
Bendix Advance pads. - approx $80
Colour-coding of bits under bonnet (eg air box lid) and in interior (eg door handles) approx $50
AU Tickford snorkel (free - I'll take it off the AU and put the AUs original one back on!)
King low springs (could go superlows, but the XR already has these, so want something with a not-so-firm ride) approx $300
New Head unit (hopefully with a screen etc for DVD, I'll have to check prices)
DBA slotted front rotors (depending on funds)

I'll post pics etc when I get the car in a couple of weeks (pic it approx 24 June).

BTW, are you sure the AU Tickford snorkel fits an EF 6 cyl? If so, that's great!

Does it have the tickford suspension with the XR wheels? If so, would it be already at the King Low spring height?

Which colour interior, the tan or the grey?

And no - you weren't cutting anyone off - you were already miles in front

Don't know if it's got the Tickford suspension - I guess I'll investigate this when I get the car. The wheels were fitted at the factory, so I guess it's possible. When I get the VIN, I'll ring Ford and ask them. If it already has the lows, then I may just do the bushes, as it feels a little bit loose on the road - perhaps that's when compared to the AU, though.

Interior colour is grey, which is OK.
