Im looking at selling my current car and getting a EF Fairmont but I was just wondering what sorts of things I should look for.

I've driven one so I know what to look for in a test drive but are there any things which are specific to that model i should know about.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Just a few things,

:Disc's(F and R) , check em, EF's cam out with metallic pads that ate away at the disks,
:Rear main oil seal, sump gasket,, oil leaks under the car. common from output shaft on manuals.
:Rust on top of front guards where the id plates are.
:Buy a haynes manual so you know what to look for.
:check compression, oil, water.
:Good idea to do a Pre Purchase inspection as in my experience this has saved a lot of money in the long run.
