hi ive lost my keys for my ford falcon EA 88 GL,

after much searching and angst ive called a locksmith and they've quoted $250, the lowest quote was $220 to decode my locks and cut me a new key, theres a seperate key for the ignition, the door AND the boot.

regardless this seems an enormous amount to pay, so ive tried to removing the ignition lock myself, as they said they would do it cheaper, so im wondering if i need to use a chisel to knock out the ignition lock?

i also read on this site (for jags) http://www.jag-lovers.org/xjlovers/xjfaq/ignlock.htm that there is the code behind the ignition lock, im sure i can get to the code does anyone know if the ford falcon has a similar code behind the ignition lock?

alternatively any ideas on how to get a cheaper deal?

just for the sake of completeness
it cost me $190 to get the ignition key and the door key replaced, he couldnt open the boot.
