how much would you pay for a 12/97 build EL Gli (white no frills) 1 owner with 84,000k's. I am looking at one they want $7800 doesnt look like its been garaged but has full service history.
$7,800 is good for the low K's but....
How much have you got to spend?
If you appreciate creature comfort, perhaps consider a Fairmont you'd be MUCH happier long term.
GLI =standard army issue poverty pack.
EL fairmonts can be had for under 10k and some around 8 but will have over 100,000ks on them.
The gli mentioned is a good price but considering it has a lot less than a fairmont for a bit more $ its up to you what you want.

I do prefer Fairmonts but it's hard to ignore low ks. I have noticed most E-series seem to have rust around the door hinges and often around the top of the doors.
My 2 e-series have been rust free so it just depends on the car.
If you buy the gli and want to make it better by adding alloys or mag wheels, perhaps even farimont ghia seats, trip computer etc then you may aswell buy a fairmont.
If you're happy with the car as is then for sure it's a good purchase.
EF2 ghias & EL fairmont Ghias had xr6 running gear so they're are the better buys.

Good price, but checkout the window rubbers around your car for deterioration. My ELII fairmont has around the same km's but the window rubbers are shot; this seems to be a common fault with the EF/EL's.
