Today I bought myself a new toy to play with! A white 90 EA gl(mocked like a Spac) for the pricely sum of $400 the car has done 248000kms is very straight just needs a buff It hadnt been driven in 18 months as owner has co car and just wanted it gone.Jump started first go and off I went!
When I got it home checked it out its got some good some bad
Body/Paint, Engine(although CFI), new 2 1/2 zorst, 10 Stack Sony CD Alarm Tint
Gearbox plays up(4 speed), CFI, a little rust(very small) and suspension its low but shocks are dead and it handles like a boat!
I hope to have on the road in a coule of weeks !!

Sounds like a great project Joel. :s5 I guess ideally you'd be able to track down a late model engine etc as Matthew suggested. I know a couple of guys on the site picked up a damaged (and then some) AU XR6 VCT for $2000.

yeah checked the tranny today and its got a tiny drop of black on dipstick so Ill service straight away
also cleaned 18 months of mould/dirt from inside doors sills and with a good polish and few touch ups it will look brand new(all most)
also needs alot off small bits like plastic trim on the side of seats is stuffed ,passenger door trim isnt the best but I would like to keep it a GL(cheaper interior parts) and mod basically the mechanicals
So do I go straight for bbm manifold or just use normal when doing the mpfi conversion?
cars are a lethal weapon,your not invinsible when you get into one,and no matter how much skill you think you have,you are never in control you are always on the edge of death it may not happen today but if you keep driving like you do,you too will end up dead!
