can you change a cpi engine into a fully fuel injected engine buy swapping over the manifolds and adding a fuel rail or is it more complicated that that also it it worth it.

yep,just get all the mpfi stuff from a wrecker and bob's on your aunty,distributor is not that important but can be usefull.

CFI --> MPFI conversions are quite popular!

Some people go further and add a BBM intake from an EL to their EA-ED 3.9/4.0

Things you will need for the conversion:

MPFI manifold, fuel rail, injectors, and the TPS, ISC, and air temp. sensors.

MPFI dizzy, if desired, you can use the CFI dizzy, it works no problems.

MPFI A/C compressor bracket and bolts

Pin from old manifold loom to put in to engine loom

An MPFI fuel pump.

MPFI brake booster hose

MAP Sensor Hose

Throttle Cable

Kickdown cable and linkages for throttle body ( If using a 3 speed)

Pan gasket for Transmission ( If using a 3 speed)

3/4 Heater Hose

MPFI Dip stick

Metal bypass pipes from thermostat to behind the manifold and the one that goes around the back of the motor. Not essential but the one from the thermo housing does help.
