Re: Removing clock out of an EL
Are you talking about the clock in the trip computer above the centre aircon outlets? If you are I think you have to remove the instrument cluster surround panel to be able to get behind the clock unit. Remove the retaining screws, starting at the ashtray area (3 I think) and working up to the four screws across the top of the instruments. Remove the switches along the bottom of the panel (door lock/boot) by prising them out and then disconnect them from the wiring. Withdraw the surround panel by easing it of the dash. If you work carefully you may get just enough room to get behind the panel and release the tangs that hold the clock in the surround panel.
The only other clock I know of in EL's is in the radio!
