sometimes when wheelspinning there are more important things to keep an eye on than the tacho... :D

not in my car tho :(

man trust me there is no limiter at 6k
when doin some demos for mates ect had it pointing directly down ( few cm past the red witch ends at 6 i think

however , is there anyway to adjust the ecu to limit the rpm before redline?

whyterider: i do have a tacho thats why i wanted the rev limiter!!!! coz if i didnt have one i wouldnt know its goin past 5000rpm so i wouldnt worry about it

Have your tacho calibrated Bozza, I can assure you that with an EA serI manual computer, mine used to cut out pretty much bang on 6k. And my tacho has been calibrated.

tested my limiter last night out of interest, cuts in at 5600rpm. very harshly i might add!

just outta interest, what rpm would my ED hit (its an auto) in drive with my foot pushed deep into the firewall? Ie. what is the factory shift point?
If i had a tacho i'd know, but i dont so yeah...

Have a look through the Yellow Pages, there's a listing in there for tacho/speedo calibraters.

around the 5100rpm mark from what ive seen. However if you hold 1st it will go till 5600 and hang around....
