Say goodbye to the EAL

Well, there comes a time in everyones driving life where the 1st car must make way for something a little nicer.

Yes, once completly finnished (read handbreak etc) the EA will be on the market. Its provided me with some good motoring since 1999, but alas its time to move on. It is true, i butchered an excelent condition 1990 EAII GL CFI, and converted it into a superlow EAL halfassed hybrid. Sure it was great in concept but the outcome just hasnt made the car what i want it to be. In the end ill always have a soft spot for it.

Ive learnt allot from it, mainly how to sware at why the hell it wont work, and to drive a 1/2 assed car safely.

So within a month or two, the EA will be gone, with its EL engine and EF XR8 interior.

Damn, I thought you were just getting warmed up.

Well all the best with the upgrade matey, I'm sure it will be a relief to have a car that's nice and stock.

Hey, at least you can say you gave it a shot. I'm sure most people plan stuff like this and just never follow through for whatever reason.

I bet you'll miss it... Congrats though, you've owned it longer than I've owned any car.
What are you planning on upgrading to??

Re: Say goodbye to the EAL

Brings a tear to my eye :( At least you're staying in the E-Series though :)

Like Jack said, I thought you were only getting warmed up. Does that mean it won't be getting a snail on the side?

Re: Say goodbye to the EAL

wonder if the EL will feel slow compared to the EA.
hopefully the EL sticks around just aslong as the EA has!
good luck with the sale, perhaps someone in the club will purchase
