Serious Problems With EA please help me

Ok i will explain what happens and you let me know what you think it is, any comments will help:

thanks in advance...

Ok i start the car. Suddenly the revs go way up. my foot is NOT on the accelerator. I wait for as long as it takes for the revs to go down.. sometimes 10mins... if i put it in drive while the revs are high it will stall and when i start it again it shudders and smoke comes out the exhaust .... sometimes if i put it into reverse the revs go straight down to idle then i can put it into drive. Once i have it in drive usually its fine.. but after a little way down the road the revs go right up... I can be doing 20km.h down the road and if the revs go up i would take my foot off the accelerator and be going uphill and it will go up to 100km/h with me never touching the accelerator...

ill give you an example of what happened to me yesterday.
the revs suddenly went high. I had to stop at some traffic lights. after stopping i quickly placed it into neutral and the revs went really high like i had my accelerator flat on the floor but it wasnt..the lights went green.. i had to slam on the brakes so when i put the car into drive it wouldnt slam into the car infront... i let the brakes go and just leave it... the speed limit was 80km.h so i just left the car go and it went to 80km.h very quickly with me never touching the accelerator... when it got to 80km.h i had to use the brakes from there on because it wanted to go faster... so instead of using the accelerator to drive i use the brake pedal..

this is really serious because it shouldnt be doing this and as you can imagine it uses alot more fuel than it should and i cant imagine what it is doing to the brakes...

please help me...

here is some info on my car...

Yeah, check the throttle cable for sure. My guess is that it's probably sticking or getting caught on something. The same thing happened to my car when I was a learner. I took off up the street and the cable got stuck so I panicked and just held my foot on the brake. The rear wheel started spinning then I put it into neutral and it just went back to normal. I got out of the car and told mum she could drive until we had it fixed.

That was four years ago and ironically that was the only time my car has been able to pull a standstill in the dry! All other attemps since then have never been successful.

hey guys.. thanks for the reply... can you tell me what a ISC is ??

also i checked the throttle cable.. and it does have a split in it where it is held on top of the engine... it seems to be only the plastic bit that is split though..

thanks guys
