I have seen legitimate chips for around $150 on ebay and their sole function is to remove the speed limiter. You could try different factory ECU's also. Some ED XR's weren't limited, and some early EB2 Gli's weren't limited either. Any cars on duel-fuel weren't limited when on LPG, it's just a simple fuel cut limiter. BUT, since your car is an EF, and not on LPG then you're stuffed. I'd try disconnecting the speedo drive from the box when you're at the track and seeing if the limiter still kicks in at any point.

Re: speed limter

thats actually good to know as my car is actually dual fuel, however the performance on LPG is so bad that wen on the track i remove the gas limiter so that the air flow into the throttle body is not restricted to that small hole the gas systems runs on. Damn ... I will need to look into a better less restrictive gas system. i have looked at the gas research site but am unsure of wat i would need.

Thanks for the info oneredED
