is it possible to fit a trip computer from a fairmont to a Gli. I remember someone I knew did it on a EA but can't remember what was involved. Thanks

Ive actually been wondering the same thing mate, ive got an ED futura which has the clock instead of the trip comp. Im not sure if the wiring and the fuel sensors and stuff is still there and not being used, or if its just not there. If the wiring is there then it would be as simple as finding it and plugging in the trip computer. Otherwise it would still be possible but it'd require a bit more work.

it can be done. go to www.fordmods.com and have a look around there.
It's not as easy as plug and play, but if you have some technical know how it shouldn't be too hard.

I plan on doing it in my ED Futura in the near future.

I have been looking at dong one myself. Most good wreakers charge around $50 for the trip computer module. Make sure you get the plug from the wiring loom though...
