is this true?

is it true that an EA 3.9multi point 5spd man can perform a 15.8sec on the quater mile? the info comes from the site below.

Falcon Facts: EA Falcon

and here it says an AU can only reach a 16.2 while running a 4.0ltr VCT (XR6 version) 4spd auto?

Its true, my mate owns an EA 3.9multi point 5spd man and he beat a stock AU, this is due to the better gearing in the EA 5spd. But with my 3.9 diff ratio i reckon it will be close.

Modified EAs can dip into the 14s.

And an ED owner has managed a 13.8 (admittedly he's fitted an AU block & head)

I'm talking atmo here too The sixes have a lot of potential in them!

nice, i got me an EA 5spd manual on the way. the paint is in top nic and the interior isnt marked and i mean NOT MARKED (done little K's). its a very clean car. its been sitting up the back of my uncles car yard for ages now, no one knows its been there though :D
